Pharmaid Scheme Reaches Major Milestone

CPA’s long running Pharmaid Scheme, the donation of British National Formularies (BNFs) from pharmacies throughout the United Kingdom, reached a major milestone with the 2004 annual collection. Just over 100,000 copies of the Formulary have now been transported by delivery drivers from AAH Pharmaceuticals, to CPA’s co-partner in the Scheme, BookAid International, for shipping to developing countries within the Commonwealth.

AAH Pharmaceuticals began supporting the Pharmaid Scheme twenty-six years ago. Group Managing Director, Mr Steve Dunn, said “we are delighted to do our part in distributing these reference books to places where they will be used to treat the sick and save lives every day.”

Approximately 5,000 copies of the last two editions of the BNF were collected during 2004 with another 5,000 copies being donated by the Pharmaceutical Press of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
