Maxencia Nabiryo is a public health practitioner with extensive experience in implementing and managing health interventions. She spearheaded delivery of international research in health programmes at the Makerere University in Uganda. She facilitated the identification and recognition of community-based health innovations through the World Health Organization’s Social Innovation in Health Initiative. Maxencia is currently a Programme Manager at the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA), coordinating the technical delivery of the Fleming Funded  Commonwealth Partnership for Antimicrobial Stewardship (CwPAMS ) programme across eight African countries. Still under the CPA, she worked as Project Manager on another AMR programme (SPARC), supporting generation and use of
antimicrobial use data for action in Africa and Asia. Working with the CPA, has exposed her to diverse strategies in tackling AMR, fueling her inspiration to elevate her skills for the fight against the pandemic.
