Raymond Anderson

Director, Northern Pharmacies Limited

Trustee and Past President, Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA)

Past President, Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI)

Raymond has experience of working as a community pharmacist for over 40 years. He qualified as an independent pharmacist prescriber in 2007 and is currently a Director of Northern Pharmacies Ltd.

Raymond was a member of the Council of the PSNI from 1997-2012, holding the post of President from 2006-2009, and is a Past President and Trustee of the CPA

He was the representative for Northern Ireland pharmacists at the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union and is a former member of the PSNI’s Pharmacy Forum. Furthermore, Raymond was appointed to the European Medicines Agency’s Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee as a Scientific Expert in April 2016, remaining in post for six years.

He has also worked in primary care partnerships, integrated care partnerships and communities of practice, supporting collaborative engagement and service development with patients and other healthcare professionals

Mary Anne Ciappara

Mary Anne graduated in Pharmacy in 1979 and earned an MPhil from the University of Malta in 1999. She is the Immediate Past President and and an ex-officio Trustee of the CPA, having served as President from 2022–24 and been active with the organisation since 1988. A long-standing Council member of the Malta Chamber of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Council, Mary Anne has also lectured in Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Ethics and currently practices as a community pharmacist.

Junia Forde-Walcott

Junia is a pharmacist with over 40 years’ public-sector experience, including 20 years across hospitals and rural clinics and 20 years with the national regulatory authority, where she rose to the position of Principal Pharmacist. She has also taught in the National Pharmacy Assistant and Nursing programmes and, since retiring, has led improvements in prison health services. A long-standing leader of the Pharmaceutical Society of Trinidad & Tobago, Junia has served as President, Secretary and as a committee member, and is CPA Regional Assembly representative for the Caribbean and the Americas.

Manjiri Gharat

Principal, Prin. K. M. Kundnani Pharmacy Polytechnic

Manjiri is Principal of Prin. K. M. Kundnani Pharmacy Polytechnic, India, as well as Vice-President of the FIP SEARPharm Forum and an FIP India Envoy. She was formerly Vice-President of FIP and Co-Chair of its Antimicrobial Resistance Commission, as well as Vice-President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association. With over 28 years of experience across education, community pharmacy and public health, Manjiri champions consumer medicine education and led a public–private partnership engaging pharmacists in India’s tuberculosis programme. Her other awards include an FIP Fellowship and the Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations Ishidate Award.

Datuk Nancy Ho JP

Past President, Malaysian Pharmacists Society

Past Vice-President, Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA)

Datuk Nancy is a pharmacist by profession, graduating from the University of Otago, New Zealand, on a Colombo Plan Scholarship. She began her career at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu, in 1973 and later became Managing Director of Medical Supplies (S) Sdn. Bhd. and Joy Pharmacy Sdn. Bhd.

Additionally, Datuk Nancy has significantly contributed to the pharmaceutical industry as President of the Sabah Pharmaceutical Society and the Malaysian Pharmacists Society and served internationally as Vice-President of the CPA. In 2023, she was awarded a CPA Fellowship.

Datuk Nancy has been active in NGOs, women’s development, and the Chinese community, earning multiple prestigious awards including the title of ‘Datuk’ and a Justice of the Peace.

Ivan Kotze

Ivan served as the CPA’s Regional Representative for the Southern and Eastern Africa region for many years. He was then elected as CPA President, serving for two terms in this position.

Prof. Andrew McLachlan AM

Head of School and Dean, Sydney Pharmacy School
The University of Sydney

A pharmacist and academic leader at the University of Sydney, Prof. McLachlan has served as an Australian Councillor for the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA) and is a proud CPA Patron. He also serves on committees related to human research ethics, medicines safety, medicines evaluation and international anti-doping.

Prof. McLachlan was awarded the Order of Australia in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to pharmacy and professional and scientific organisations.

Dr T.V. Narayana

President, South East Asia Regional Pharmaceutical (SEARPharm) Forum

Past President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA)

Dr Narayana is a renowned leader in pharmacy education with over 35 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. Currently serving as the Director of Vikas Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in India, he has significantly influenced the pharmacy field through his roles as President of the IPA and the SEARPharm Forum.

Throughout his career, Dr Narayana has spearheaded over 100 seminars and training programs and organised four international conventions and 21 national workshops. For his work, he has been recognised with numerous awards, including an International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Fellowship in 2024 and the 2022 FAPA Ishidate Award.

Dr Narayana has presented over 100 scientific papers at international conferences and published 22 research papers; his initiatives include the FIP Vaccination Training Program and tobacco cessation services in collaboration with the World Health Organization. His leadership has strengthened global partnerships, advancing pharmacy education and public health across various international forums.

Dr Nkwenti Davidson Achu

Dr Nkwenti is a community pharmacist, Proprietor of Professional Plaza Pharmacy, Bamenda and Vice-President Emeritus of the CPA.

He spearheaded the enrolment of the Pharmaceutical Society of Cameroon (PSC) into the CPA and, with his extensive experience, he acts as a liaison between the PSC and the CPA to realisee CPA ideologies in Cameroon. Dr Nkwenti also serves as a representative on our PharmAid programme.

Lorraine Osman

Past Vice-President
Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA)

Lorraine Osman spent many years in academia, where she learned about the value of combining pharmacy practice with education. She then spent 23 years working for the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa, where she learned about the value of communication and support for all pharmacists.

When representing the CPA internationally, she was privileged to meet and interact with not only health ministers or heads of state, but also local pharmacists.

Victoria Rutter

Chief Executive Officer
Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA)

Victoria was appointed as the first CEO of the CPA in 2016. Her dedication has significantly increased the charity’s footprint and workstreams, supporting better access to and use of medicines in lower resource settings, including pioneering the highly commended Commonwealth Partnerships for Antimicrobial Stewardship programme.

She has led advocacy efforts for the profession in numerous high-level policy forums, including as the civil society representative on the Commonwealth Advisory Committee on Health. Prior to this, Victoria led both service and workforce development through international collaborations in flagship hospitals in London and Singapore, developing an extensive global practice portfolio.

Currently, Dr Vadlamudi is the Professional Secretary of the SEARPharm Forum.
