Engaging with CPA on social media
Follow our accounts
The first step to engaging with CPA on social media is to make sure that you’re following our official accounts. This will make it easier for you to share updates from us, and help us tag you when we have content relevant to your country to share.
Tag us in posts you want us to see
Have content you want us to engage with or share? Tag us on the platform you’re posting so that we get notified about it! We can’t promise to reshare everything you post, but we’ll do our best to share content that we think works well for the wider CPA membership.
Hashtags
We also monitor the hashtag #CPAPharm as our ‘official’ hashtag, which you’re welcome to use when talking about CPA’s work. We also use programme-specific hashtags #CwPAMS and #SPARC, and usually use the hashtag #AMR to go with those.
From time to time we use campaign-specific hashtags to help boost visibility. We’ll let you know when those hashtags are going to be in use.
CPA colour scheme
We have four official colours that we use at CPA, chosen to give our brand a strong visual identity and form an effective, complementary palette. You can find their details below.
In all cases, we use CPA Purple as our primary identity, with CPA Blue and CPA Yellow used as secondary colours to accent our content. CPA Black is used mainly for text and very occasionally as a backdrop colour.
Use the # or RGB code when creating digital content, and the CMYK code when creating print content.
For guidance on how to use the CPA brand effectively, please contact pete.gaffney@commonwealthpharmacy.org and he will be happy to assist you.

CPA font
CPA uses Assistant, a contemporary sans serif Hebrew-first font available in 6 styles, created by Israeli designer Ben Nathan for Adobe. Our license allows for the unlimited use of Assistant. You can download a free copy of the font file for Assistant below, or if you use Google Drive/Docs, Assistant should be available from the library.
Wherever possible we use Assistant in the lower-case. As a Hebrew-first font, it is designed for lower-case use and sparing capitalisation. We only use block capitals when deemed essential for effect.
If you can’t use Assistant, we recommend using Verdana as an alternative. Verdana should be installed as standard on any modern computer regardless of the operating system.
Social media graphics
These are pre-made graphics you can use on your social media profile to help showcase your affiliation to CPA if you so desire.

Campaign graphics
From time to time, we release special graphics for use during our campaigns, like Commonwealth Pharmacists Day and World Antimicrobial Awareness Week. We’ll share these with you on this page, or you can access them as they become available from the Google Drive we share with you.
Using the CPA logo
We carefully control the situations in which we use the CPA logo. This is because our logo lends any output an official endorsement from the organisation, which in turn carries with it certain implications about our involvement.
If you would like to use the CPA logo in any kind of social media output or in any other circumstance, except on a pre-designed graphic, please contact pete.gaffney@commonwealthpharmacy.org for permission first.
